DIN 6868-157 serves as the basis for assuring image quality in diagnostic X-ray departments. The MAVO-SPOT 2 USB luminance meter is used for the performance of distance measurements for acceptance and constancy testing. As an alternative, constancy testing can also be conducted as a calculation with the MAVO-MONITOR USB luminance meter for contact measurement in combination with a MAVOLUX luxmeter which, at the same time, is required in order to determine room classification. A factory calibration certificate is required for all measuring instruments and has to be renewed at regular intervals.

Various versions of the MAVO-MAX are used for compliance with illumination requirements for the individual room classifications. In the case of dimmable lighting, it indicates that illuminance lies within the specified limits for the respective room classification.
