Strobists frequently work with several, manually adjustable compact flash units and simple wireless triggering devices. Overall exposure as well as the relationships amongst the individual flash units can’t be measured with the camera and can thus only be determined experimentally, which is extremely time-consuming. With the help of an external exposure meter, overall exposure as well as the relationships amongst the individual flash units can be simply and quickly measured and reproducibly adjusted. In order to trigger the individual flash units, the exposure meter can be connected to a separate radio module via the synchronizing socket or, in the non-cord mode, a separate radio module located on the camera or an additional radio module can be used for triggering.
